The team can go below 37 sec easy, if all the runners put their ego aside and operate as one unit. This is order I think they should run in and why: First, Powell start; Powell has the best of team members. Also, he is not as strong mentally as the rest. Take a look Penn Relays 2011, and anyone can see the amount of danger he can creates leading off. Second leg Carter; Carter will feel very comfortable here accepting and passing the baton because (I think) he is a natural lefty. Also, he is the fourth fastest man in history and with a flying start from Powell no man on earth can catch up to him. Plus Powell and Carter are from the same club they can work on their exchange while doing speed work. That leaves us with the third and fourth legs between Bolt and Blake. They too have the advantages of practicing together and can work on exchanges without interrupting normal training. For the third leg Bolt; reason being Bolt run a better turn than any of those guys. Look at his 19.19 200M record and it will lay to rest any question anyone may have about his height. Plus he cannot carry the baton in his left and on the third leg he will receive the baton in his right hand and get to keep it there. Finally, Blake; at this point the race is already won it a matter of time. The exchange from Bolt to Blake should be around 26.5 to 26.8 second according to my calculation. Which now left with one question, can Blake (The Beast) get to the finish line under 10 second? There is no doubt. On paper Jamaica has 4 of the top 7 fastest guys ever lived actively running. They should put all egos aside and put the 4x100M relay out of reach of ever been broken. Bolt 9.58 fastest man ever, Powell 9.72 third fastest man ever, and Carter 9.78 fourth fastest man ever, And Blake 9.82 seventh man lived. With all this being said, bear in mind that there are a host of talents in Jamaica like Frater’ Lee, Clarke, Ashmeade, and other who will be bidding for a spot on the final four. There is no guarantee that any one of the top four will even make it to the Olympic.

I too mad a comment immedicately after the incident in the comment section of the coverage programme. I also thought I would have heard the commentators bring it up, so I thought I was the only one with a problem with it. As a teacher, before this incident I used Usain as a role model on how to behave during the anthem and note also that in his individual 200m medal ceremony, he wsa still a model. So imagine my shock to watch them when all four were being watched by the entire world. It is just not done, a shame so 'til.

Congratulations to Usain on winning the 200m and the team world record run in the 4x1 relay. These guys did us proud. However I have one problem with Usain as an Icon and an Ambassador of the sport, I expect that national pride and deportment is maintained at all times during the playing of the National Anthem. We all know as early as at the primary level that you stand at attention when the national anthem is being played, but instead Usain and Yohan were kidding around, I know that they were all happy but remember they are representing Jamaica first. I was also very surprised and disappointed that none of the Panelist said anythingt about the gimmicks that Yohan and Usain did on the podium. There is a place and time for these types of behaviour and on the podium during the playing of the National Anthem is not the place and time. Someone needs to speak to these guys... There was no National Pride. I was not proud being a Jamaican when I saw that. Country is first.
